Barry K. BERTOLET

Barry K. Bertolet, 73, Spring Township, died Nov. 14 at 8:05 p.m. in Reading Hospital, where he had been a patient one day.He was the husband of Dolores E. (Moyer) Bertolet.Born in Reading, he was a son of Catherine M. (Bauknecht) Bertolet Yourkavitch Hoffman, Spring Township, and the late Chester K. Bertolet.Bertolet was employed for 32 years as a structural draftsman and a squad boss by Bethlehem Steel Corp., retiring in 1982. He was later employed for 11 years as a quality-control inspector by Penn Iron Works Inc., Spring Township, retiring in 1993.He was a 1950 graduate of Reading High School.Bertolet was a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War.He was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Reading.Bertolet is also survived by a daughter, Karen S. (Bertolet) Stavarski, Wyomissing.Other survivors include a grandson.He was predeceased by a son, Brad K. Bertolet, in 1984.Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. in the Bean Funeral Homes Inc., Sinking Spring. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton.
