Josephine Eleanor BLAKE

BROWNFIELD - Josephine Eleanor DeRocher, 80, of Walter Blake Road, Brownfield, passed away Oct. 28, 2005 at the Fryeburg Health Care Center. Josephine was born July 26, 1925 in Brownfield, the daughter of Arthur and Wilma (Pratt) Blake. She graduated from the old Bean Memorial High School in Brownfield and also from Gorham Normal School. Josephine taught school for 33 years in Deep River, Conn., Lovell, Brunswick and Saco. She was a member of the Retired Maine Teachers Association, VFW Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading, knitting and collecting old cars with her husband. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Joseph H. DeRocher of Brownfield; a daughter, Linda DeRocher of Brunswick; a brother, Roger Blake of Belfast; and a sister, Evelyn Stacy of Kezar Falls. At Josephine's request there will be no services, burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery Brownfield. Arrangements are with Wood Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Fryeburg.
