Dorothy R. BLANCHARD

BLANCHARD, DOROTHY R .— Of Jackson, aged 86, passed away July 5, 2005 at her home. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, James Blanchard; son, Paul (Lisa) Blanchard of Petoskey, MI; granddaughters, Katie and Ellen Blanchard of Petoskey. Dorothy taught in the Jackson Public Schools for 19 years and was active in numerous community groups including Friends of the Library, AAUW, Jackson Women's City Club and League of Women Voters. Memorial services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church on Saturday, July 9 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jim Hegedus officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church or the charity of your choice.
