BOUCHER, SCOTT, 44 - passed away December 14. A lifelong Absecon resident, he was a commercial crabber and bayman. Scott was an avid fisherman, hunter, clammer, and trapper. He loved animals, especially his cat, George. He served in the U.S. Army. An advocate of fisherman's rights, Scott was a member of Club Harold, a sportsman's club based on Absecon Creek, and the Laborers Union- Local 172. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. Predeceased by his father, Hank Boucher, he is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Boucher of Absecon; his son, Scott Boucher, Jr., of Absecon; brothers, Walt Newman of Port Republic, Albert S. Newman of St. Louis, MO, John Newman of Galloway Township, Mark Boucher and his wife Jackie of Weekstown, Al J. Newman and his wife Beth of Absecon; step-brother, Robert Boucher of Ocean City; Godson, Mark Boucher, Jr. of Weekstown; and 12 nephews and nieces. A memorial service will be held at Parsels Funeral Home, Absecon, Sunday 5-7 p.m. where friends may call. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to "Friends of Scotty", 168 Hobart Ave., Absecon. ?? ?? ?? ??Published in The Press of Atlantic City on 12/16/2005.
