PORTSMOUTH — Yvonne R. DeRoy, 79, of 18 Osprey Drive, passed away at her home on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2005, surrounded by her family.Born in Somersworth on Oct. 12, 1925, she was the daughter of Joseph and Yvonne (Plante) Boucher. After graduating from high school, she was employed at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.She married Romeo DeRoy on Dec. 2, 1950, he died on Jan. 7, 2000. She is survived by their four children. Their first born is Michelle, who was married to John Grondahl. They have two children, Dawn and Johnnie. Dawn has one child, Emily Buckman. Dawn is engaged to Brandon Paine, and they have two children, Dakota and Dylan Paine. Johnnie is married to Heidi. Her second born is Joe A. DeRoy, who is married to Susan. They have three children, Jennifer, Sherry, and Joe Jr. Jennifer is married to Bruce Burbank and they have three children, Tyler, Jason, and Ryan. Sherry is married to Christopher Day and they have two children, Garrett and Katherine. Her third child, Dana DeRoy has two children Julie and DeAnna. Julie is married to Justin Spencer and they have a child, Cody. DeAnna is with Kelly Barstow. Her youngest child is Holly Williams, who is married to Robert. Holly has three children, Matthew, Meghan, and Isaiah. She is also survived by a sister, Louise Goodwin; a brother, Louis Boucher; and several nieces and nephews.Yvonne chose to be an at home housewife. She was devoted her whole life to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a superior role model on how to be a daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. All who met her, loved her. Rest in peace.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Catherine of Siena Church on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. Visiting hours at the Farrell Funeral Home, 684 State St., Portsmouth, on Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to Seacoast Hospice, 10 Hampton Rd., Exeter, N.H. 03833.
