Rita E. BOUDREAU

SPRINGFIELD - Rita E. (Boudreau) Caputo, 74, of Springfield and formerly of Longmeadow entered into eternal rest on Monday December 19, 2005 at Mercy Medical Center, Springfield. Rita worked for the Winfield Hat Company in Holyoke as a hat maker for 33 years. She later worked as a machinist for 7 years with Dynamic Controls and retired in 1994. Born in Holyoke on April 11, 1931 she has resided in Longmeadow most of her life, in Springfield and East Longmeadow for the past 7 years, and was a communicant of St. Catherine of Siena Church. Rita was predeceased by her father Joseph Boudreau and her husband of 49 years Lewis G. Caputo. She is survived by her mother, Marguerite (Melancon) Boudreau of Chicopee; 2 sons, Lawrence J. Caputo and his wife Kathy of Southampton, and Lewis G. Caputo Jr. and his wife Gretchen of Hampden; 3 daughters, Theresa J. Bechard and her husband Paul of Hampden, Ann Marie Hollis of Springfield, and Louise J. Michaud and her husband Marc of Somers, CT; a sister, Lorraine Evans of Chicopee; 2 brothers Donald Boudreau of South Hadley and Edward Boudreau of Bridport, VT; her grandchildren, Lawrence Jr., Kimberly, Vincent, Samuel, and Nico; and a great grand daughter, Katrina. Rita's funeral will be Friday morning 8:45 a.m. at Sampson's Chapel of the Acres Funeral Home 21 Tinkham Road, Springfield. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church Parker Street, Springfield. Burial to follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery Tinkham Road, Springfield.
