William Paul Boulet, a lifelong resident of New Orleans, LA, beloved husband of Verna Mae Meyer Boulet for 59 years, died on Monday, March 7, 2005. He was age 84. Mr. Boulet was a graduate of Jesuit High School, and Tulane University School of Engineering. He served our country in World War II in the 354th Squadron, 355th Fighter Pilot Group, US Air Force, earning the Silver Star and a presidential citation, among other decorations. He was a POW in Germany. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 23. For many years, Mr. Boulet worked for the Boeing Corporation, in association with the Apollo Space Program, for which he was listed on the National Honor Roll. Survivors include his brother, James Boulet; and ten children: Ann Montgomery of Houston, TX, Barbara White of Austin, TX, Janet Angelico of Metairie, LA, Paula Vial of Mt. Pleasant, SC, William Boulet, Jr. of Louisville, CO, John Boulet of Austin, TX, Andrew Boulet of Spokane, WA, Verna Aucoin of New Orleans, LA, Claire Moldthan of New Orleans, LA and Thomas Boulet of Sherman Oaks, CA. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd (in Metairie Cemetery) on Thursday, March 10, 2005 at 1:00PM. Interment will follow in Metairie Cemetery. Visitation on Thursday from 10:00AM until service time.
