Guy H. BOURASSA

Guy H. Bourassa Sr., 77, of Enfield and husband of the late, Eva L. (Foster) Bourassa, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, (December 27, 2005) at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford. He was born May 15, 1928 in St. Jean, Quebec, Canada to the late Henri and May (Nicholson) Bourassa. He was a communicant of Holy Family Church and a member of the Men's Golf League. Guy worked for 41 years for First National Supermarkets in Enfield and Windsor Locks as a produce manager. He was a strong union man serving many years as an executive board member for (UFCW) United Food Commercial Workers Local #371. He served in the U.S Army in the 18th Field Artillery and Babenhausen Germany. Guy was an avid NY Yankees fan. He is survived by his four sons and their spouses, Guy Bourassa Jr. and Jill of Enfield, Michael and Lisa Bourassa of Phoenix, AZ, Robert and Lorraine Bourassa of Enfield and Lewis and Mary Cross of East Longmeadow; a daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Tom Dugan of Enfield; Dino and Diane Samson of East Windsor; his sister and brother-in-law, Helene and Claude Richard of Quebec City, Canada; 14 grandchildren, Jason, Anthony, Tommy, Nick, Heather, Stefanie, Katie, Danielle, Michelle, Michael, Mathew, Nicole, Jonathan and Danny; 2 great-grandchildren, Xavier and Elektra. He also leaves behind his special friend, Eleanor Kielblock. He was predeceased by a son, Russell Cross. A funeral processional will gather by 9:15 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 31, 2005 at the Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield to Holy Family Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10:00 a.m. Military Honors will follow. Burial will be held privately in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Hartford. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., Friday, December 30, 2005 at the funeral home.
