Alfred J. BOURQUE

LAKELAND, Fla. -- Alfred J. Bourque, 81, of Bartow died Monday, Nov. 28, 2005, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center of complications from a motorcycle accident. He was the husband of Mary E. Bourque. Born in New Bedford, Mass., he was the son of the late Fidel and Marie (LeBlanc) Bourque. He was a retired Navy Seabee who served in the Korean and Vietnam wars; he was a Merchant Marine veteran of World War II. Mr. Bourque was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2405 and American Legion Post 3 in Bartow. Survivors included his widow; a daughter, Patty Jones of Indianapolis; four sons, Peter Bourque of Cranston, R.I., Timothy Bourque of Washington, D.C., Dennis Bourque of Marina, Calif., and John Bourque of Coventry, R.I.; two brothers, Norman Bourque of Bartow and Raymond Bourque of New Bedford; three sisters, Anita Di- Giacomo of New Bedford, Loretta Procopio of Forestdale, Mass., and Annette Rainbolt of Jenka, Okla.; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Albert L. Bourque and Rene Bourque. His funeral was held in Bartow. Arrangements were by Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow.
