Briand Bourque, 62, of Superior, died Monday, Oct. 31, 2005 after a seven year courageous battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease). He passed away at St. Mary's Hospice surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two infant sons, James and John. Briand is survived by his wife of 36 years, Betty; and sons, Paul (Becky) Bourque, Superior; David, San Clemente, Calif.; beloved grandson, Andrew; special mother-in-law, Katherine Anderson, Virginia, Minn.; brother-in-law, James Holmes, Buhl, Minn.; and brother-in-law, Ernest Holmes, Cherry, Minn. VISITATION:4 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, in Downs-LeSage Funeral Home, Superior, with a Scripture service scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Visitation will resume at 9:30 a.m. Friday in Cathedral of Christ the King Catholic Church until the 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial.
