NEW BEDFORD -- Rita Theresa (Bousquet) Saulnier, 79, of New Bedford died at home Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2005. She was the widow of Roger L. Saulnier. Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late Peter A. and Mary (Lapre) Bousquet. She was a lifelong resident of New Bedford and a communicant of St. Joseph-St. Therese Church. She graduated from high school and secretarial school. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Saulnier's whole life was devoted to her family and grandchildren. Survivors include a daughter, Susan Dwyer, and her husband, Donald, of Glen, N.H.; two grandchildren who were her caregivers, Christopher Ricci and his wife, Michelle, of Plymouth, and Shawn Ricci and his wife, Brenda, of New Bedford; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. She was the sister of the late Annette Saulnier. Her funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow at St. Joseph-St. Therese Church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd.
