GIRARD, Louise - Age 60, of Swartz Creek, died Saturday, October 29, 2005 at Genesys Hospice Care Center, Goodrich. Funeral services will be held 1PM Thursday, November 3, 2005 at Linden Free Methodist Church, 13274 Linden Road, Linden. Pastor James Thompson officiating. Burial in Fairview Cemetery, Linden. Visitation will be held 6-9 PM Tuesday, 1-4 and 6-9PM Wednesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton; and 12PM until the time of the funeral Thursday at the church. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Diabetes Association or the American Kidney Fund. Mrs. Girard was born July 4, 1945 in Boonesville, Kentucky, the daughter of Floyd and Lula (Deaton) Bowling. She had resided in Swartz Creek the past 3 years coming from Gladwin where she resided for 10 years. She married Steven G. Girard December 31, 1993 in Waterford. She had worked for Tru-Val in Waterford for 16 years and was a member of Linden Free Methodist Church. Surviving are: husband, Steve; 2 daughters, Donna Lou and husband James Riddle of Galion, OH, Patti and husband Dave Yanko of Linden; 6 grandchildren, Lance, Ben, Brad, Eric, Alec and Aila; 2 step-children, Alison Marie and husband Kenneth Morrow of Japan, Shawn Girard of Florida; 7 brothers and sisters, Emma, Eva, Adra, June, Richard, Brown and Elijah; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Lavonda June Shouse; 4 brothers, Roy, John, Tom and Floyd, Jr.; sister, Loretta. Published in the Flint Journal from 10/30/2005 - 11/2/2005.
