CHEBOYGAN - Irene F. Allaire, 87, of Cheboygan, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2005 at Cheboygan Memorial Hospital.A resident of Cheboygan since 1961, moving from the Detroit area, Irene was born May 25, 1918 in Cheboygan, the daughter of William and Anastacia (McKervey) Boyea. On November 14, 1945 in Manistee, she married Earl F. Allaire, who preceded her in death. She had been employed at the Dodge Truck Plant in Warren during World War II, and later, upon moving back to Cheboygan, was employed as a nurse's aide at Cheboygan Memorial Hospital. She also enjoyed gardening, bingo, fishing and trips to the casino.Surviving are her children, Linda (Del) Davis of Dimondale, Mich., Judy (Jim) Gahn of Cheboygan, Janet (Richard) Tallman of Tower, and Joe (Diana) Allaire, also of Cheboygan; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mildred Graham of Warren, Mich.; a sister-in-law, Margaret Oliver of Adrian; many nieces and nephews; and her dog, Nikki.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl; a sister, Myrtle Boyea; and a brother, Carl Boyea.Visitation will take place from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 28, 2005, at the Christian Funeral Home in Cheboygan. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2005, also at the funeral home, with Apostle LeRoy Ormsbee officiating.Memorials may be made to Hospice House in Cheboygan.
