Leo Alfred Brassard, 79, Sarasota, died Dec. 27, 2005.He was born June 10, 1926, in Brookfield, Vt., and came to the area 32 years ago from Northfield, Vt. He was a partner with Allard & Brassard Construction in Northfield. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of Catholic Order of Foresters, Elks and the American Legion. He was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church.Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Pauline; daughters Christine Brandon, Gail Hausler and Theresa, all of Sarasota, Diane Schlimgen of San Marcos, Texas, Cecile Bell of Pelican Rapids, Minn., Joanne Gongalski of Whitehall, Minn., and Barbara A. Curtis of Venice; a son, Gerald L. of Helena, Mont.; four sisters; four brothers; 22 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, with a service at 7 p.m., at Toale Brothers Funeral Home, Gulf Gate Chapel. A funeral liturgy will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Thomas More Catholic Church.
