Paul Andrew BRETON

Paul Andrew Breton, a retired Reading policeman, died June 16 in his residence in Orem, Utah.Breton, 89, formerly of Reading, was predeceased by his wife, Freda Breton, on Nov. 8, 1997.Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Jacob and Maria (Petro) Breton.He was a member of the Reading Police Department for 20 years, retiring in 1967.Breton was later employed by the City of Reading until moving to Orem in 1974. While in Utah, he worked for seven years in the maintenance department of Brigham Young University, Provo, retiring in 1981.He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Orem, where he and his wife worked in the name-extraction program for many years.Breton was an Army veteran of World War II.Surviving are five daughters: Susan Ileen (Breton) Byers, American Fork, Utah; Teri (Breton) Smith, Provo; Paula Dee (Breton) Sayer and Nanette (Breton) Merrill, both of Alpine, Utah; and Michelle (Breton) Stewart, Las Vegas.There are also 22 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.Services were June 21 in the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home's Canyon View 7th Ward Chapel, Orem. Burial was in Huntington, Utah.
