GILMANTON — Nancy E. (Britt) Maltais, 62, of 117 Middle Route, Gilmanton Iron Works, died Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2005, at her home.Mrs. Maltais was born June 28, 1943 in Concord, Mass., the daughter of Robert F. and Dorothy E. (Bond) Britt.She lived in Concord, Mass., for a number of years and graduated from Boston University.Mrs. Maltais lived in Berlin, Conn., for a few years where she was the owner of Baby Bargains. She moved to Gilmanton Iron Works, 16 years ago where she ran the Maltais Flower Farm. She was also a healthcare provider for the EFC Lakes Region Community.Mrs. Maltais was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed sewing and spending time with her grandchildren.Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Richard R. Maltais of Gilmanton Iron Works; two sons, Richard R. Maltais Jr. of Gilmanton, and Robert B. Maltais of Loudon; two stepchildren, Mark Maltais and Heidi Maltais, both of Connecticut; three grandchildren, Autumn Maltais and Michael Maltais, both of Loudon, and Derek Maltais of Connecticut; two brothers, Robert Silva of Virginia and James Silva of New Hampshire; two sisters, Angela Silva of Illinois and Mary Lou Sims of Florida and many nephews and nieces.Calling hours will be held Monday, Dec. 19, 2005, from 2-4 p.m. in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant St., Laconia. A funeral service will follow the calling hours at 4 p.m., also at the funeral home.Spring Burial will be held in the family lot in Smith Meeting House Cemetery, Gilmanton.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Health & Hospice Inc., 780 North Main St., Laconia, NH 03246.Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 164 Pleasant St., Laconia, is in charge of the arrangements.
