CROWLEY - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2005, at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley for Ludy Broussard Bates, 87, who died Thursday, Dec. 22, 2005, at Southwind Nursing Home in Crowley.The Rev. Gary Schexnayder will be officiating for the services. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Monday at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home in Crowley. Visitation will be observed from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. Monday and will continue from 8 a.m. Tuesday until the time of service.Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.She is survived by one sister, Carol Vallot, of Crowley; and numerous nieces and nephews.Mrs. Bates was preceded in death by her husband, William Bates; her parents, Joseph "Poppa Jo" and Elvira Albarado Broussard; three brothers, Aby, R.L. and Harold Broussard; and one sister, Yolande Latiolais.She was born in Carencro and was a resident of Crowley for over 30 years. Mrs. Bates was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church.Pallbearers will be Jason Freeman, Mike Hiatt, Paul Broussard, Reggie Fontenot, Shannon Rogers and Richard Voisinet.Arrangements have been entrusted to Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home of Crowley, www.geesey-ferguson.com, 301 N.
