Ruby May BROUSSARD

LAFAYETTE - Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2005, at a Mass of Christian Burial in La Chapel- le de Martin & Castille for Ruby May Broussard, 76, the former Ruby Broussard, who passed away at 4 a.m. Friday, Dec. 23, 2005, at her residence with her loving husband at her side.Entombment will be in St. Alphonsus Mausoleum in Maurice, La. The Rev. O. Joseph Breaux, pastor of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Maurice, will be the celebrant of the funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Missing her dearly will be her husband of 42 years, John C. Broussard; her only child, Joan Thibodeaux Moody and her husband, Bill Moody, who always made "Mom" gleem. Also, her precious grandchildren, Alison, Kane and Lane Thibodeaux and Margaret, Will and John Moody; and her only great-grandchild, Maggie Moore.Mrs. Broussard was a native of Maurice and lifelong resident of Lafayette. Everyone that knew Mrs. Ruby remembers her devotion to her family, who always came first. She was a caregiver to so many relatives in need. Mrs. Broussard was a dedicated office manager to Abdalla's De- partment Store for 40 years. She was a member of the St. Alphon- sus Catholic Community in Maurice.A rosary will be prayed Mon- day in the Martin & Castille Fu- neral Home.Visitation will be observed from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. Monday and will continue from 9 a.m. Tuesday until time of services.Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Broussard's name to Louisiana Hospice Pal- liative Care, 4871 I-49 South Serv- ice Road, Opelousas, LA 70570.The Broussard family would like to extend special thanks in appreciation to the dedicated staff at Louisiana Hospice Pallia- tive Care.
