Verna BROWN

WEST HAVEN - Verna Brown Blois, 94, formerly of West Helen St., Hamden, entered into rest eternal, Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2005. She was the wife of the late Kenneth I. Blois.Born in Fitzgerald, Ga., Aug. 15, 1911, she was a daughter of the late Alvin G. and Lydia Todd Brown, Verna worked for the Ordinance Dept. in New Haven before becoming secretary to the district manager at W.T. Grant Co. for many years, and later worked in the Funding Dept. at Yale University. She also was a former member of the Hamden Women's Club.She was the mother of Brian K. Blois of Hamden and Virginia McDonald of Evergreen, Colo. She is predeceased by four brothers; and three sisters.Services will take place in Hamden Memorial, 1300 Dixwell Ave., on Friday at 10 a.m.. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday (TODAY) from 6 to 8 p.m. Burial in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
