HYANNIS - John A. Brunelle, 56, died Wednesday at his home after a long illness. Mr. Brunelle was born in Worcester and lived in Cotuit before moving to Hyannis, where he lived most of his life. He graduated from Barnstable High School in 1967 and attended Franklin Institute in Boston. He served in the Army from 1968 to 1971, being honorably discharged with the rank of SP4. After the service, he traveled out West and lived in several states. He worked for many years at Radio Shack before beginning his near 20 year career as an automobile salesman for Chris Bullock Toyota of Hyannis and Orleans, and also for Hyannis Toyota. He received many awards over the years for sales leadership. He loved listening to music, playing the guitar and singing, especially with friends and family. He enjoyed being at home and watching television, especially his beloved Red Sox and Patriots. Survivors include a brother, Harold Brunelle of Centerville; an aunt Rose Cabral of Hyannis; several nieces and nephews; many cousins; and long time special friend Terri Sears. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at John-Lawrence Funeral Home, 3778 Falmouth Road, Marstons Mills. A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mosswood Cemetery.Memorial donations may be made to Hyannis Firefighters Death and Welfare Fund, c/o Hyannis Fire Dept., 95 High School Road Ext., Hyannis, MA 02601.
