EUNICE - Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25, 2005, at Quirk and Son Funeral Home Chapel for Lamuel Ezra Brunet, 79, who died at 6:10 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2005, at Opleousas General Hospital.Entombment will be in St. Paul Mausoleum in Eunice.Mr. Brunet was a World War II veteran, a lifetime American Legion member, a retired postmaster and a postal employeefor 37 years.Survivors include his wife, Gloria Andrus Brunet, of Eunice, La.; son, Phillip "Rock" Brunet and his wife, Gale, of Lafayette, La.; two daughters, Katherine B. Soileau and her husband, Burley, of Eunice, La., and Elsie B. Bergeaux and her husband, Weston, of Eunice, La.; eight grandchildren, Krista Miller and her husband, Joey, of Lafayette, La., Travis Soileau and his wife, Nikki, of Eunice, La., Lauren Soileau, of Eunice, La., Heather Dominque and her husband, Robbie, of Houston, Texas, Trisha West and her husband, Jason, of Lafayette, La., Philip Scott Brunet, of Lafayette, La., Chalise Sebatier and her husband, Paul, of Lafayette, La., and Justin Courville and his wife, Kelly, of Prairieville, La.; and six great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his father, Ezra Brunet; his mother, Lelia Lafleur; and two grandsons, Chad Soileau and Ben Courville.Visitation will be observed will be from noon Fridayuntil service time.Arrangements have been entrusted toQuirk and Son Funeral Home in Eunice, (337) 546-6081.
