Ray A. ""DOC'' Cambre, Sr. died at his home on Sunday, December 25, 2005. Beloved husband of the late Mary Lou Burlet Cambre. Father of JoAnn Cambre Ferrari and Ray A. Cambre, Jr. and father-in-law of Carolyn Cambre. Also survived by a special friend, George T. Boatwright IV, whom he thought of as a son. Son of the late Elize Cambre and Justine Dugas Cambre. Brother of Doris McMahon and the late Warren, Carrol and Norris Cambre. He is survived by his granddaughter Angela Guarino and her husband, Randy; Stacey Rabalais and her husband Keynan; and Erin David and her husband Jeff. Great-grandfather of Ashley, Amanda, Kody, Peyton, Bailey and MacKenzie. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Mr. Cambre, age 75 years, retired from Johns-Manville and more recently owned and operated the HI ROLLERS STAG BAR in Gretna. Mr. Cambre, a native and life-long resident of Gretna, served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of the Gretna Sportsman Club. There will be no services at this time; a Memorial Service will be announced at a later date. Arrangements handled by WESTSIDE/ LEITZ-EAGAN FUNERAL HOME, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA.
