Vivian Mulligan -- Kankakee -- Vivian A. Mulligan, 93, of Kankakee, died Sunday (Nov. 20, 2005) at ManorCare Health Services. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Tuesday at the Clancy-Gernon-Hertz Funeral Home, west Kankakee. A funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, where she was a member. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Mrs. Mulligan had worked at the Chicago Store and at the A&P Grocery Store as a checker, both in Kankakee. She was born Oct. 2, 1912, in Kankakee, the daughter of Octave and Elizabeth Betourne Cartier. Her husband, Henry D. Mulligan, whom she married June 30, 1930, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, died Aug. 9, 1991. She was a former member of the Moose and the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. She loved traveling and retired life on the river. She enjoyed her friends. Surviving are two grandchildren, Paul (Dawn) Mulligan of Yorkville, Victoria McConnell of Chula Vista, Calif.; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Pat Quigley of Kankakee. Deceased are one son, John Charles Mulligan; three sisters, Louise Anthony, Pearl Depetre, Gertrude Hedlin; and seven brothers, Armand, Frank, Robert, Charles, Louis, George and Joseph Cartier.
