Louis Chabert on March 12, 2005, a boat owner and commercial fisherman, went to meet his heavenly Father after a long illness. He was 75 years old. Louis is survived by his former wife, Louverda Charpentier Chabert, and their sons and daughters-in-law, Louis ''Buster'' and Kathleen Chabert, Scotty and Jude Chabert, Tony and Julie Chabert, and daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara ''Bobbie'' C. and Philip Chiasson, Kathy C. and Bobby Rousse, and Dolly C. and Jimmy Williford. He is also survived by his wife, Rosalie Chabert, and their sons, Michael Chabert and Sammy Chabert. Louis is survived by his grandchildren: Chuckie Chiasson, Sonya C. Daigneault, Nicholas Chiasson, Peter Rousse, Wade Rousse, Laura R. Engermann, Davy Chabert, Matthew Chabert, Lauree Chabert, Tracy W. Hale, Jipper Williford, Sonny Williford, Joshua Williford, Scotty ''Boy'' Chabert, Renee Chabert, Wendy C. Reggio, Kristy C. Taylor, Lacey Chabert, and T.J. Chabert. He is also survived by 23 great grandchildren, and brothers, Milton Pitre and Jerry Caime, and sister, Lucy Leaycraft. Louis was preceded in death by his father, Norbert Chabert, mother, Argentina Delice Chabert, brother, Senator Leonard J. Chabert, and grandson, Benjamin Chabert. On Tuesday, March 15, 2005, at the First Baptist Church in Golden Meadow, Louisiana, a Wake will be held from 12:00 noon until 3:00 p.m. with a Memorial Service at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the South Lafourche Nursing Home Large T.
