Barbara Jean Chambers Clouate, 62 years old of Hahnville, Louisiana, died Sunday, December 25, 2005 in Loranger, LA. She was born Sunday, April 11, 1943 in Amite, LA. Daughter of Joyce Cooper Chambers and the late Leslie Thomas Chambers.Mrs. Clouate was a longtime resident of Hahnville, LA; retired after 32 years of teaching with the St. Charles Parish School System; she coached basketball and softball and was a dance team and cheerleader sponsor. Surviving are her husband, Dennis J. Clouate; daughter, Leslie C. Dempster; brother, Ronald C. Chambers; grandson, Blake Dempster; and 2 granddaughters, Breanna and Leighton Marie Dempster. She was preceded in death by daughter, Jodi Lynn Clouate; son, Mark Clouate; sister, Linda C. Wyckoff; and brother, Russell ''Rusty'' Chambers. Friends will be received Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula from 9:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. Services will be held at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church, Independence, LA, Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at 12:30 p.m. with The Very Rev. Paul A. McDuffie, V.F., officiating. Interment will follow in the Cooper Cemetery of the Sacred Heart, Loranger, Louisiana.
