Darwin Joseph CHARBONNEAU

Darwin Joseph Charbonneau, age 39, of St. John, ND, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2005 in Presentation Medical Center, Rolla, ND. Darwin Joseph Charbonneau was born on December 29, 1965 to Darryl and JoAnn (James) Charbonneau in Rolla, ND and passed away June 14, 2005 in Rolla, ND at the age of 39 years old. He attended school in Rolla and in St. John. He graduated from St. John High School in 1985. Following graduation, Darwin attended the carpentry training program in Rapid City, SD. He lived and worked in the Roseau and Warroad (MN) area for many years. Darwin also worked in the Grand Forks and Devils Lake area before moving back to Rolla. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Darwin enjoyed fishing on Lake Upsilon. He loved to do woodworking and made furniture and gifts for family and friends. Darwin built himself a cabin on Lake Upsilon during 2002 and 2003. He especially enjoyed time spent with family and friends. Left to mourn his passing are his loving mother, JoAnn (William) Juntunen of St. John, ND; father, Darryl (Lori) Charbonneau of Bottineau, ND; brother, Brian (Dawn) Charbonneau of Cavalier, ND; sister, Renee' (Phil) Rekemeyer of Ankeny, IA; grandmother, Eva James of Rolla, ND; nieces, Jenna and Aimee' Charbonneau of Cavalier, ND and Lacey Enga of Ankeny, IA; uncle, Bennett (LaVonne) Charbonneau of St. John, ND; and aunt, Sandra (Truman) Olson of California. Darwin was preceded in death by his grandparents, Howard James and Rene and Clarice Charbonnneau; uncles, Ronald James, Larry James, and Jimmy Charbonneau; and aunt, Jeanine James. Casket Bearers were Duane Allery, Terry Arvidson, Richard Belgarde, Dave Bercier, Neil Indvik, and Alan Ouellette. Honorary Bearers were family and friends. Reader Maxine Richards. Rosary was led by Carron Foussard and Elinor Gustafson. Special music was by the St. John Ecumenical Choir, Barb Garceau, Benny and Kevy Jeanotte, and Dolly Belgarde. Visitation was at 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 19, 2005 in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, St. John, ND with rosary service at 8 p.m. Funeral Mass was on Monday, June 20, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. in the church with Father John Patterson S.O.L.T. presiding.
