Raymond J. CHAREST

Raymond J. Charest of No. Smithfield died Tuesday, September 20, 2005 in Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. He was the husband of 55 years of Doris (Gregoire) Charest. Born on December 14, 1927 the son of late Albert & Aleda (Tellier) Charest. He lived most of his life in No. Smithfield. He and his wife Owned and Operated, R & D Seafood, Inc., Smithfield Rd., Woonsocket for 22 years retiring in 1990. He had been a Cubmaster for many years of Pack 2, Union Village and Scoutmaster of Troop 2, Our Lady Queen of Martyrs, Woonsocket. He was a Communicant of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church. He served aboard the US Navy Tanker (the USS Marias) during World War II. He is also survived by three sons; Richard Charest & Ronald Charest of No. Smithfield & Marc Charest of Harrisville; a sister, Lucille Parrillo of Cumberland, Six(6) Grandchildren and several Nieces & Nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Robert Charest of Ohio and a brother Normand Charest of California. His Funeral is Saturday at 10am from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So Main St, Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, 1409 Park Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, 259 West Wrentham Rd., Cumberland. Calling hours are Friday 4-8pm.
