Thomas Robert CHENEVERT

PEPPERELL -- Thomas Robert Chenevert, 63, a resident of Pepperell, and a former Dracut, Dunstable, and Tyngsboro resident, who worked at the county's Sheriff office as a lieutenant for more than three decades, died Wednesday, Dec. 7, at the Westford House Rehab Center in Westford.He was the beloved husband of Cecile "Cil" L. (Gagnon) Chenevert, to whom he was married for 37 years.He was born in Lowell, April 6, 1942, son of the late Robert and Olive (Gagnon) Chenevert.An honorably discharged veteran, Mr. Chenevert served his country in the Air Force during the Vietnam War.Before retiring, Mr. Chenevert was employed for 32 years as a lieutenant by the Middlesex County Sheriff's Department. In his early years, he was a member of the Tyngsboro Police Department.In his free time, he enjoyed photography and cars.Mr. Chenevert was a communicant of Ste. Marguerite D'Youville Parish at Ste. Therese Church in Dracut.Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters and sons-in-laws, Stefanie and Edward Anderson of Pepperell and Stacie and Jerry Helsing of Lunenburg; four grandchildren, Samantha Wise, Courtney Wise, Julie Wise, and Justin Helsing.He is also survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Jeannine Neville and William Chenevert of Grantham, N.H.; a brother and sister-in-law, Paul Chenevert and Kathleen Donovan of Dracut; and several nieces and nephews.
