Louise Claude Turanksy was born March 2, 1910 in New Orleans, LA and died Monday, December 26, 2005. She was a lifelong resident of New Orleans/Metairie, LA and lived briefly in Shreveport, LA following Hurricane Katrina. She never met a stranger. In 1950, she married Louis Turansky, became a Navy wife, and was stationed in Honolulu, HI and Norfolk, VA. She returned to live in Metairie, LA in 1957. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Turanksy; sisters: Irma Turan and Marian Deckbar; and brother, Howard Claude. She is survived by her son, David Claude Turansky and wife, Julie; sisters: Lucille Kramer and Shirley Chavez; grandchildren: Christopher Louis Turansky and Elizabeth Gayle Turansky; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service to honor and celebrate the life of Louise Claude Turansky will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Chapel of Lamana-Panno-Fallo Funeral Home, 1717 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, LA. Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 28, 2005 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. The family would like to thank the many friends who made her life so enjoyable, and all those involved in her care.
