FITCHBURG -- Jean (Cormier) Braga, 57, of 29 Hancock St., died peacefully at home Sunday, Dec. 11, after an 11-year struggle with cancer. She was born in Coventry, R.I., on April 21, 1948, the daughter of Earl and Marjorie (Carpenter) Cormier. She grew up in Coventry and graduated from Coventry High School.Mrs. Braga lived in Rockport for four years and in Winchester for 10 years before moving to Fitchburg five years ago. She was employed as executive secretary at Gen Rad in Concord, retiring 11 years ago due to illness.Mrs. Braga leaves her son, Matthew H. Aldrich of Jasper, Fla.; her daughters, Pamela F. Aldrich Fairley and her husband, Wilber Lee, of Pascagoula, Mi., and Kristie J. Aldrich Rines of Fitchburg; her grandchildren, Autumn Rines and Emily Rines, both of Fitchburg, Jalen Fairley and Matthew Fairley, both of Pascagoula, Mi.; and extended family in Rhode Island.BRAGA -- On Dec. 11, Jean (Cormier) Braga, 57, of Fitchburg. Contributions in her name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. No services are planned.
