Robert B. “Bob” Cote age 82 of Priviledge St. Woonsocket died Wednesday, December 28, 2005 in the Bayberry Commons Nursing Home in Pascoag ,RI. He was the husband of 59 years of Therese J. (Gregoire) Cote. He was born in Woonsocket on September 17, 1923 a son of the late Alfred and Agnes (Doucette) Cote. He was a life long resident of Woonsocket and a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church in Woonsocket where he was an usher and sang in the Choir. He was a longtime volunteer at St. Joseph’s Food Cupboard and the Bingo at the Church. He was a member of the AARP and the Royal Travelers Society of Woonsocket, St. Joseph’s Senior’s Group and a Life member of St. Joseph’s Veterans Club. He had served with the U.S. Army during World War II with the 455th Amphibian Truck Company in the Pacific Theater in Asia and the Phillipines .He was a member of Post #263 VFW of Woonsocket. He had worked as a “Jack of All Trades” for the former City Dairy of Woonsocket for 15 years and later as a Heavy Equipment operator for the RI Department of Transportation for 14 years before retiring in 1987. After retirement he was a Grounds Keeper for eight years for the Bayberry Commons Nursing Home in Pascoag. Beside his wife he leaves four daughters Sister Helen T. Cote of the Presentation of Mary Order in Biddeford, Maine, Pauline C. Ryan of Burriville, Rita M. Ryan of Chepachet and Vivian H. Aubin of Oakland, RI. Three grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Antoine “Tony” Cote, Gilbert, John, Alfred and Jules Cote, Theresa Racine and Marguerite Pellerin.His funeral will be held on Monday, January 2, 2006 at 9:30 AM from the MENARD FUNERAL HOME, 127 Carrington Avenue, Woonsocket followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by the Rev. Lionel A. Blain at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph’s Church, 1200 Mendon Road, Woonsocket. Burial Will be Private. Calling hours in the Menard Funeral Home will be on Sunday, January 1, 2006 from 4 to 8 PM.In Lieu of Flowers donations in his memory to St. Joseph’s Parish, Food Cupboard, 1200 Mendon Rd.
