OCALA - Marie P. Landry, 80, a retired nurse, died Sunday, Dec. 4, 2005, at Munroe Regional Medical Center.A native of Lowell, Mass., she moved here from South Florida in 1994. She was a member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church. She was a Sister of St. Joseph, California, from 1940-1948, and left the convent to pursue a nursing career.Survivors include daughter, Michelle Landry, Ocala; son, Wayne Landry, Largo; sisters, Lorraine Coakley, Jamaica Plain, Mass., Jackie Mowles, Oak Ridge, N.J., and Doris Roberts, Dorchester, Mass.; brother, William Coutu, Cooper City; and eight grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her daughter, Suzanne Landry, and son, Keith Landry.Memorial contributions may be made to The Alzheimer's Foundation.Hiers Funeral Home, Ocala, provided information.-- OCALA, Fla. -- Marie Pauline (Coutu) Landry of Ocala, a Lowell native who had a long career in nursing, died Sunday, Dec. 4, in Florida. She was 80.She was born in Lowell on Feb. 11, 1925, a daughter of the late Clement and Albertine (Dube) Coutu.In 1940, she joined the Sisters of St. Joseph in California. She left the convent in 1948 to pursue a nursing career. She graduated from Boston City Hospital, and retired from nursing in 1994.She was a communicant of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church.She is survived by a daughter, Michelle Landry of Ocala; a son, Wayne Landry of Largo; three sisters, Lorraine Coakley of Boston's Jamaica Plain, Jackie Mowles of Oak Ridge, N.J. and Doris Roberts of Boston's Dorchester; a brother, William Coutu of Cooper City; and eight grandchildren.Mrs. Landry was also the mother of the late Suzanne Landry and Keith Landry, and the sister of the late Theresa Daughtery and Cecile Osgood.Funeral services will be held in Chelmsford.
