NOEL, Delinda M -- Of Kalamazoo, passed away on November 7, 2005 at Borgess Hospital. Delinda was born on October 25, 1917 in Vincennes, IN, the daughter of Herman and Cora (Wilkes) Crackel. Delinda worked for Michigan Bell Telephone Company, retiring after 27 years of employment. She married Raymond "Ray" Noel on August 13, 1949. She was a member of the Parchment United Methodist Church. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was very creative and artistic; she made cross-stitch Christmas Stockings for all of her great grandchildren; she enjoyed painting and working with ceramics. Her works of art are displayed in her home and in the homes of her children. Her family was most important to her. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Francis Sulka; and two sisters, Pauline Minor and Vanita Langermann. Delinda is survived by her husband, Ray, to whom she was married for 56 years; two children, Gary (Lois) Sulka of Portage, and Kathie (Scott) VanHekken of Rockford; 4 grandchildren, Thomas VanHekken, Mike (Tracey) Sulka, Mark (Judy) Sulka and Lynne (Brad) Stumbo; 8 great-grandchildren; and a niece, Jacque (Louie) Kostakis. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, November 10, 2005 from 4-7 p.m. at REDMOND Funeral Home 4100 S. Westnedge - 343-6156 where a second visitation will be held on Friday, November 11, 2005 from 10-11:00 a.m. with Funeral Services at 11:00 a.m., Reverend Dan Minor officiating. Entombment will take place at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Parchment United Methodist Church. Published in the Kalamazoo Gazette on 11/9/2005.
