Anita CROSS

DAVIS-FONTENOT, ANITA -- Anita Davis-Fontenot passed away peacefully on Monday, June 6, 2005 surrounded by members of her family, at the young age of 57. Anita was born in Harrow, England on June 20, 1947, and she spent most of the last 30 years in or near Gresham, Oregon. Anita was an angel who walked the earth, always eager to sacrifice for those in need. She lived to give to others. Anita had a way of making everyone feel special, especially children. She had a passion for gardening, birds, and other animals, children, and angels. She asked for nothing and gave everything. Anita touched the lives of many with her natural charm and grace, compassion and kindness, patience, generosity and love. The depth of Anita's strength, wisdom, spirit, and instincts often transcended comprehension. She will be deeply missed by those she leaves behind. Anita is survived by her husband James R. of Portland, OR; son, Robert Davis of Portland, OR; mother, Iris Cross of Norwich, England; brothers, Vincent Cross and Alan Cross, both of Norwich, England; and her singing companion Gizmo. She was preceded in death by her sister Linda Cross. Viewing is Tuesday, June 14, 2005, 10 AM to 5 PM followed by Funeral services on Wednesday, June 15, 2005 at 11:00 AM both at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home in Gresham, Oregon.
