Marie Schmunk October 23, 1936 - November 20, 2004 Funeral arrangements by Regina Funeral Home SCHMUNK – Marie (nee Morin) died peacefully at the Pasqua Hospital, surrounded by her sons, sisters and brothers on Saturday, November 20, 2004. Marie is survived by her sons: Lyle, Leo and Daniel (Cindy) and two grandchildren. Marie is also survived by her 6 sisters and three brothers. Marie is predeceased by her parents, one sister and one brother. Marie was born October 23, 1936 in Kincaid, SK. She was raised in Ferland, SK where she attended school up to grade 9. Then her grade 10 and 11 at the convent in Ponteix, SK. Then went on to finish her grade 12 at the Convent in Gravelbourg (Thevenet Convent). She worked for her dad in the store and Credit Union in Ferland. In 1959, with the dream of becoming a nurse, she accepted employment at the Providence Hospital in Moose Jaw, SK. She married her husband George Schmunk in 1960 and was blessed with 3 sons. They moved to Regina, where she attended nursing school and graduated in July 1973. The family wishes to sincerely thank the staff, nurses, and Doctors of Unit 2B ICU at the Pasqua Hospital for going above and beyond their duties. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at Regina Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 23, 2004 at 2:00 PM.
