Lorene DAVID

Lorene 'Renee' David Boyer, age 79, died November 14, 2005 in New Braunfels, TX. She was born April 12, 1926, in Kansas City, MO. She was the daughter of Mabel Geraldine Peyton and Felix Percy Ferdinand David who were from Canada. They became naturalized citizens of the U.S. Renee's attendance at the Alamo Heights schools were interrupted by World War II. Like so many of this the greatest generation, she dedicated 31 years of her life to the Civil Service as a Budget Clerk at Ft. Sam Houston, earning an outstanding performance rating for 15 consecutive years. Renee married Grover Charles 'Al' Boyer December 28, 1956, in San Antonio, TX. She retired in 1981 in order to pursue her love for travel which took her and her husband all across the U.S. and Canada. When at home, Renee volunteered through the RSVP Program at the New Braunfels Police Department. She enjoyed gardening, day trips to the hill country, watching the San Antonio Spurs, vacationing in Rockport where, more than once, she brought home the "catch of the day" to cook for her family and the companionship of her faithful beagle of 14 years, Daise Mae. Renee is survived by her daughters, Raye Foster and husband Ben, Kelly Holder and husband Bob; son, Dan Proctor and wife, Rhonda; five grandchildren, Ben Foster, III and wife, Scarlett, David Foster and wife, Wendy, Katie Foster Morgan and husband Jim, Debra Morel and husband Brian, Tracy Klimisch and husband, Justin; nine great grandchildren, Benjamin, Rhys and Peyton Foster, Isabel and Maggie Morgan, Madison and Peyton Morel, Megan and Amanda Klimisch; sister-in-law, Eileen David; niece, Diana Pinckard and husband, Casey and their children, Brianna, Brooks and Brayden and relatives in the Canadian Provinces. Renee was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Al; one son, David Proctor and her brother, Brian David. Graveside services will be held on Friday, November 18, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at the Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in San Antonio, with the Rev. Richard Carse officiating. Because of Renee's love for animals and most particularly dogs, donations may be made to your local animal shelter in lieu of flowers. Zoeller Funeral Home, New Braunfels, TX.
