Forrest DeChaine -- Aug. 22, 1923 — April 16, 2005 -- Forrest DeChaine, 81, of Big Oak Flat died Saturday at his home.Mr. DeChaine was a native of Klamath Falls, Ore., and lived in Big Oak Flat 19 years. He was a police officer with the Oakland Police Department for 20 years and a member of the Oakland Police Officers Association.He is survived by his wife, Carolyn DeChaine of Big Oak Flat; children, Susan Green of Brentwood and Daniel DeChaine of Dublin; stepchildren, James White of Atwater and Gaylen White of Big Oak Flat; sisters, Anna Lombard of San Francisco and Loretta Gates of Reno; and two grandchildren and five step-grandchildren.Visitation from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday at Heuton Memorial Chapel, Sonora. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery.Remembrances may be made to Satellite Dialysis Center Inc., 136 E. Columbia Way, Sonora 95370.
