Spotsylvania County, Va. - Robert Paul "Bob" Delagrange, 71, of Spotsylvania County, Va., died Friday, Nov. 11, 2005, at Mary Washington Hospital.Mr. Delagrange was born in New London, on Dec. 5, 1933.He served in the Air Force and played on the Misawa Japan Air Force Base football team in the mid 1950's.He was a graduate of California State, Northridge. He had worked as a mechanical engineer in many government shipyards, nuclear utilities, and research laboratories. Bob and his wife were welcomed to Spotsylvania after losing their home in Ocean Springs to Hurricane Katrina.He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Mary Ellen Delagrange; a daughter, Anne Ellison and her husband, Larry; a son, Paul Delagrange and his wife, Roni; a sister, Patricia Robertson and her husband, David and their daughters, Lia and Rachel. Bob was especially proud of his four grandchildren, Robyn, Chandler, Paul Jr., and Hannah Marie.A service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2005, at Trinity Episcopal Church with Rev. Kent D. Rahm officiating. Burial will follow in Quantico National Cemetery.
