FALMOUTH - Homer R. Delisle, 71, died yesterday at his home. He was the husband of Shirley J. (Carlson) Delisle for 48 years. Mr. Delisle was born and raised in Burlington, Vt., where he graduated from Cathedral High School. He then joined the Air Force, where he served for more than 20 years, retiring with the rank of master sergeant. He was a veteran of the Korean conflict and the Vietnam War and served overseas in many different locations, retiring from Otis Air Force Base. A Falmouth resident since 1970, he worked over the years for Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, for Puritan Clothing Co. in uniform sales and for Lockheed Aircraft Corp. for five years in Saudi Arabia. Most recently he worked as a driver for Habilitation Assistance Corp. in Pocasset. He was an avid reader and had a lifelong love of dogs. Besides his wife, survivors include a daughter, Michele A. Arigo of Plymouth; two sons, David A. Delisle and Daniel A. Delisle, both of Falmouth; a brother, Daniel J. Delisle of Texas; a sister, Joyce M. Delisle of Texas; and three grandchildren. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 475 Main St., Falmouth. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick's Church, Main Street, Falmouth. Burial is private. Memorial donations may be made to the MSPCA, 1577 Falmouth Road, Centerville, MA 02632; or to Hospice & Palliative Care of Cape Cod, 270 Communication Way, Hyannis, MA 02601.
