CALEDONIA - Timothy Joel 'Timmy' Demarest, 14, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with lifelong health issues on Wednesday, October 26, 2005, at Children's Hospital in Wauwatosa. He was a lifelong resident of Caledonia, born on January 16, 1991, to Scott and Cynthia (nee: Carlson) Demarest. Timmy had a joyful spirit and was a treasured gift from God. Timmy is survived by his parents; a brother, Drew Demarest; grandparents, Gilbert Demarest of North Carolina and Wilma 'Willie' Demarest of Connecticut; and two aunts, Wendy Demarest of Texas and Cheryl (Ben) Piecora of Connecticut. Further survived by other family and friends. Grandparents, Raymond and Hilda Carlson, preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at Grace Church, 3626 Highway 31, on Monday evening, October 31, 2005, at 7 p.m. with Pastor Cole Griffin officiating. Private burial will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park. There will be a visitation at the church on Monday evening before services from 5 p.m. until time of service at 7 p.m. Memorials in Timmy's memory to Children's Hospital and Health System Foundation, P.O. Box 1997 MS 3050, Milwaukee, Wis. 53201-1997, have been suggested. A special thank you to Timmy's longtime caregivers from Covenant Home Health Care, especially nurses Rose, Beth, Lora, Connie, and Coco; also to Dr. Ellen Blank and the caring staff at Children's Hospital for their kindness and compassion.
