Donald Wilfred DeMars, 78, Green Bay, died Thursday, May 19, 2005. He was born June 16, 1926, in Escanaba, Mich., to the late Peter and Adele (Belland) DeMars. Donald was a graduate of Green Bay West High School, Class of 1944. He served in the United States Navy from 1944 to 1946.Don was a loving father and grandfather and will be sadly missed by his four children and their spouses, David and Mary DeMars, Diane and Robert Wood, Denise and Scott Jansa, Daniel DeMars; the mother of his children, Geraldine DeMars; six grandchildren, Eric DeMars, Ryan DeMars, Matthew Sullivan, Mikal Sullivan, Cory Jansa, Cameron Jansa; his brother and sister-in-law, Clarence and Martha DeMars; his sister-in-law, Donna DeMars, all of Green Bay; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Louis DeMars, Bill DeMars; his sisters, Eileen Capion, and Mary Fuller.Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday. A Parish Wake Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday. Friends may also call at the funeral home from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Deacon Bob Nooker officiating.Don’s family would like to extend a very special thank you to the entire staff of Harmony House for their wonderful care.
