Michael Robert DEROSIER

DAYTON - Michael Robert Derosier, 64, of Dayton passed away at his home Nov. 13, 2005, with his family by his side. Michael was born June 3, 1941 in Gardner, Mass., the son of Gerald and Caroline (Diaz) Derosier. He grew up in Ashburnham, Mass., and graduated from Sacred Heart High School. He spent 22 years in the Coast Guard and retired as Senior Chief. After his military career he worked in civil service for the Navy and Coast Guard as a independent contractor. He lived in Yarmouth for many years where he was a former member of the Masons, the Shrine and was Past Patron of Winnegance Chapter OES. He moved to Dayton in 1994 and was a communicant of St. Demetrios Church in Saco. He enjoyed reading, fishing and spending time with his family. Michael was predeceased by two brothers, Peter and Paul. He is survived by his wife, Sandra (Christie) Derosier of Dayton; three sons, Aaron M. Derosier of Stratford, Conn., Stephen J. Derosier of St. Paul, Minn., and Michael R. Derosier II of Portland; a sister, Virginia Mercier of Westminster, Mass.; and four grandchildren. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 9:30 a.m., Thursday, at St. Demetrios Church, 186 Bradley St., Saco, with the Rev. Basil Arabatzis as the celebrant.
