DESGRANGES, Kathleen May - Of Grand Blanc, age 58, died Sunday, October 30, 2005, due to a automobile accident. Funeral service will be held at 11AM, Saturday, November 5, 2005 at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church, 9020 South Saginaw Road, the Reverenced George L. Cleaves, Jr. officiating. Cremation will take place following the service. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Christopher's Episcopal Church or the American Red Cross. Visitation 2-4PM and 7-9PM Friday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Kathleen will be at the church from 9AM Saturday until the time of the service. Kathleen was born in Defiance, Ohio on September 2, 1947. The daughter of John Henry Desgranges and Dorothea Mae Poetzinger. Kathleen was a member of St. Christopher's Episcopal Church and was a volunteer for The Red Cross. Kathleen was a former board member of Kirkridge Condominium Association. She was very musical and enjoyed sewing and crafts. Kathleen was a social worker as a therapist for children, adolescents and family. She taught for Davison Junior High School for 7 years. Surviving are father, John of Grand Blanc; sister, Dr. Louise Desgranges of Grand Blanc; many, many close friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy in 1984.
