Josephine (DeStefano) Belliveau, 93, of Wallingford, formerly of West Hartford, beloved wife of the late Emile Joseph Belliveau, died Tuesday (December 27, 2005) at Masonicare, Wallingford following a brief illness. She was born in New Haven, had lived in Hartford many years, residing in West Hartford 43 years prior to moving to Wallingford in 2003. She had been a communicant of the Church of Saint Brigid, West Hartford and was a member of the Ladies Guild of the Church. Mrs. Belliveau is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Richard J. and Beverly D. Belliveau of Hebron; two grandchildren, Nicole A. Roach and her husband, Sean of Hebron and Jean-Paul Belliveau and his wife, Jennifer of Simsbury; 4 great-grandchildren, Samantha Sudduth, Nicolas Belliveau and Dylan and Harleigh Roach; two sisters-in-law, Meshy Belliveau and Cerita Belliveau, both of Newington and numerous nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by two sisters and her brother, Ann Pare, Mary Hebert and Patrick Stevens. Calling hours will be TODAY from 4 – 7 p.m. at the Sheehan-Hilborn-Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford. The funeral procession will be Thursday at 10:15 a.m. from the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Saint Brigid. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Josephine may be made to the Masonic Charity Foundation, 22 Masonic Ave., Wallingford, CT 06492. Published in the Hartford Courant on 12/28/2005.
