William RATH

RATH, William "Gerry" WWII Veteran - Medical Corps Peacefully on Saturday, November 20th, 2004 at the Ottawa General Hospital, William Gerald Rath, left us at 90 years of age. He was born in Carleton Place, Ontario March 8th, 1914. Son of the late William Rath and the late Theresa Rath (nee Burgess). He is survived be his wife Marian, daughter Catherine, grandchildren Carolyn (Jacques) Tremblay, Elizabeth (Stephen) Plant, Geoff (Karen) Nevin and Chris and Nigel Joiner and great-grandchildren Natalie and Justin Tremblay and Alexander and Matthew Plant. He is predeceased by his first wife Florence Hudson, daughter Patricia, sister June and brother Keith. Thank you to the Ottawa General Hospital for their kindness. Special thanks to the kind and thoughtful Staff on Gatineau 1 North at the Rideau Perley Veteran's Health Centre for their excellent care. Friends may call at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road (between Bayshore Dr. and Baseline Rd) on Tuesday from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel at 11:30 a.m. Inurnment will be held at Beechwood Cemetery.
