DeVILLIERS, James Chestine -- Born April 14, 1917, in Dauthat, OK, he passed away peacefully on December 4, 2005 in Loomis, CA. He was 88. Jim served in the army in WWII. After his discharge, he returned to Loomis where he met and married Jane, his beloved wife of 56 years. They lived for over 50 years in the home they built in Loomis. Jim loved fishing, camping and travel. After retiring from McClellan AFB in 1979 he became an avid bowler. He was also a long time member of both Roseville Rockrollers and Sons in Retirement, branch #86. Jim was a loving, cheerful, nurturing father and grandfather. A truly beautiful spirit, he will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Jim was predeceased by his wife Jane. He is survived by his daughter Kathleen (Tim) Campbell, their daughters Claire and Lauren; his son James (Jackie) DeVilliers, their daughter Celeste; his son John (Charron) DeVilliers. A remembrance service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 10, at 11:00 AM at the Maidu Community Center, 1500 Maidu Drive at Rocky Ridge Road, Roseville, CA. All who knew him are invited to attend.
