Rosella DOBSON

RHONDEAU, Rosella Dobson -- Widow of the late Jack Rhondeau Sr. passed away peacefully, of natural causes, with her loving family at her side on June 9, 2005. She was born Rosella Dobson, daughter of Mary and Clarence Dobson on October 16, 1906 in Blue Earth, Minnesota. At the time of Jack's death in 1995 they had been married 68 years. She had six children, Jack Jr. (wife Sharon), Mary Anna (deceased), Ron (wife Carolyn), Bill (wife Norma), Bob, Rita Marsh (husband George); 17 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchildren, and a brother Harry Dobson, 96, of Vallejo, CA. Rosella raised her family during the depression years in New York City and was always the stalwart of the family. She and Jack moved to Pocatello, Idaho in 1940 and lived there until 1972 when they moved to Roseville, CA. She was always active and played piano in the "Panhandlers" at Rusch Park Community Center. She was Sacramento Bowler of the Year in 1994, and remained an active bowler until the age of 94. She played the organ every Wednesday and Sunday at church services at The Sierra Regency where she resided the last three years. She was noted for her clown dolls and was called "The Clown Lady". Her clowns were donated to many worthwhile causes and found their way to over nine different countries. Her demeanor and disposition were always something to be admired. Always willing to do that extra something for someone and was accommodating to all. She was a magnificent lady who will be sorely missed. Memorial services will be held at St. John's Episcopal Church, 1090 Main Street, Roseville, CA 95678 on Monday, June 13, 2:00pm, following the services her life will be celebrated in the Parish Hall.
