MAYETTE, MRS. DONNA -- Muskegon (Wife of Larry) Mrs. Donna Mayette, age 60, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, May 4, 2005 in Muskegon. She was born on November 15, 1944 in Muskegon to Frank & Ruth (Weesies) Doctor, and had resided in the Muskegon area all of her life. Donna was the Vice-President of S.P.N.I.A., and enjoyed being a foster parent, volunteering, doing crafts, and mostly being a grandma to her 7 grandchildren. On July 27, 1963, she married Larry G. Mayette, Sr., and he survives her along with their children, Larry Mayette, Jr., Pamela (Kurt) Dykman, Michael (Kelly) Mayette, and David (Leslie) Mayette all of Muskegon; foster daughter, Lisa (Michael) Coppola of Manistee; 7 grandchildren, Nicholas, Jadyn, and Jordan Dykman, Kendall Pruitt, Logan, Cody, and Courtney Mayette; her mother, Ruth Doctor; 3 brothers, Robert (Hennie) Doctor of Fruitport, Roger (Sherrie) Doctor of Norton Shores, Ken (Wilma) Doctor of Fruitport; and special friends, Richard and Pearl McKellar, Richard and Sharon Ward, Dale and Judy Swanstrom and many others. Donna was preceded in death by her father, Frank Doctor. SERVICES will be 1 PM Saturday at Allen Ave. Christian Reformed Church with Rev. Terry Fulk officiating. VISITATION with the family will be today from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave. 231-726-5210 Burial will take place in Restlawn Cemetery. Memorial Contributions to the Donna Mayette Memorial Fund in c/o Comerica Bank (Muskegon bank locations, including Montague & Grand Haven), or Hospice of Muskegon-Oceana will be appreciated.
