CHATHAM - James A. Doucette, 67, died Wednesday at Cape Cod Hospital, Hyannis. A lifelong Cape Cod resident, Mr. Doucette was born in Barnstable and raised and educated in Brewster. He was a longtime resident of Orleans and most recently lived in Chatham. He was a truck driver and a heavy equipment operator for various local contractors. He enjoyed motocross, aviation, guns and restoring antique radios. Survivors include three sons, James A. and Terry G., both of Brewster, and Keith E. of Mount Holly, N.C.; a daughter, Shari Lynch of East Harwich; two sisters, Mary Pelkey of Biddeford, Maine, and Christine Gitter of Senatobia, Miss.; four half-brothers; two half-sisters; eight grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow at Evergreen Cemetery, Route 137, East Harwich. Memorial donations may be made to Cape Cod Times Needy Fund, P.O. Box 36, Hyannis, MA 02601.
