James J. Doucette of South Boston, a retired factory worker, died Thursday at Boston Medical Center. He was 63. Born in in Boston, he had lived there all his life. He was educated in Boston schools. During peacetime, Mr. Doucette served in the Army. He was a factory worker at Cole Hersee Co. in South Boston for 17 years. Mr. Doucette enjoyed playing Keno and the lottery. On occasion, he liked to treat himself by visiting Foxwoods Casino. Husband of the late Leona (Richards), he is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen (Moynihan); three sons, James Jr. of Abington, Earl and Walter of South Boston; three daughters, Eva Watson of Dorchester, Diedre Corbett of Hopkinton, Michelle Butcher of Braintree; eight grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Vincent's Church, South Boston. Arrangements by Casper Funeral Home, South Boston.
